Why We Built This Site
Maryland gives the public broad access to many court records, but Charles County records are not stored in one database. The Clerk of the Circuit Court handles Circuit Court files, certified copies, marriage licenses, land records, business licenses, and related courthouse services. The District Court of Maryland handles many traffic, small claims, landlord-tenant, misdemeanor, and preliminary criminal matters. The Register of Wills and Orphans' Court handle estates. The Charles County Sheriff's Office handles law-enforcement and local custody records, while DPSCS, MVA, and PACER cover state custody, driver history, and federal cases.

- We cannot guarantee that every Charles County phone number, fee, courthouse notice, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
